I’m heading into my third year with BGC, and this might be the most excited I’ve been yet! In the fall of 2019, I joined the BGC family in the after-school program. After that first year, I decided to make the switch to the Kindergarten program and am now entering my second year on the team at Meséskert. Last year, the Hedgehog class hosted the repeating preschool age, and this year we will get a whole new bunch of baby Hedgehogs! I couldn’t be more thrilled to take my career to another new place.

After 2+ years in Hungary, Budapest truly feels like home. I have met amazing colleagues that have turned into friends, and friends that have turned into family. Before moving to Hungary, I spent time living all over the U.S. I grew up in a small town outside of Boston, Massachusetts, then left for warmer weather and attended The University of Arizona studying Anthropology and Arabic. After graduating I started my career in Sales for Staples, Inc. and eventually moved to Austin, Texas where I helped build an incredible tech start-up over the course of four years as a Project Manager. My career has taken lots of turns, but I can honestly say I am so happy as a teacher.

I love being a part of the BGC team because of their approach to learning; children learn best through play. I truly wake up each and every morning energized and excited to come to work. I love spending my days with these tiny humans, watching them grow, and most of all, playing with them. There is nothing like the laughter and wonder of a child to remind you what’s important in life. I take a tremendous amount of pride in what I do, and I am so honored to continue to be a part of this team. I’m looking forward to another incredible year with my incredible team.
