In the BGC English After School Program our method of activity-based language acquisition is realized in a native environment for twenty hours a week. The sessions take place daily, between 13:00-17:00 and under the constant supervision of the Hungarian afternoon teacher.

During the time spent in the After School Program, our native English lecturers engage the students in a 75-minute English activity-based session (known as a club time). These encompass a variety of extra-curricular activities focusing on a wide range of topics. Additionally, the lecturers take part in games and free play, both inside and outside. It follows from our activity-based education style that in our program we do not use textbooks, test or worksheets.

The nature of the English club times can vary between different grades. In each year of education the same five club times will reoccur according to a timetabled schedule.

Smart-Party: Monday, March 23, 2026

The “Smart-Party” session is part of the application process and requires registration. Parents of children starting first grade in September 2026 can apply for the group session (10-12 students) when submitting the Preliminary Registration (see: Application Process). After the Smart-Party, the BGC enrollment team will work with the school to determine the most suitable class for your child based on educational needs.
