As an early year educator, you will play a crucial role in achieving this goal by providing a native English environment through stories, songs, games, and craft activities in a bilingual setting.

Your main duties and working hours framework will include:

• Lead our full-immersion English language BGC Preschool curriculum while serving as a facilitator
• Prepare visual aids to provide comprehensible input for our non-native preschoolers
• Work side-by-side with a Hungarian licensed preschool teacher
• You can work part time or full time depending on your personal preference which we will discuss during the selection process:
  
  Part-time: 30 hours/week (25hrs/in class and 5hrs/week for administration, preparation, meetings, and receiving mentoring)
  
  Classroom responsibilities: provide English speaking environment with daily curriculum and project plan-based circle time sessions + active involvement during garden and snack time, conduct transition times, indoor free play sessions

  Full-time: 40 hours/week (25hrs/in class and 5hrs/week for administration, preparation, meetings, and receiving mentoring in preschool + 10 hrs/week sub teacher responsibilities in the BGC Afterschool Program)

  Classroom responsibilities: provide English speaking environment with daily curriculum and project plan-based circle time sessions + active involvement during garden and snack time, conduct transition times, indoor free play sessions

• Cooperate with the Hungarian preschool teachers to run sessions together
• Occasionally help organize and participate in site events such as craft afternoon with parents, or help children get ready for end of year performances

• Compensation: net 330.000 HUF – 445.000 HUF / month

We are looking for you if you:

• are a native English speaker or balanced bilingual (English skills match those of a native speaker, raised by a native parent, or received at least 8 years of education in an English-speaking institute)
• hold a bachelor’s degree in any field (a degree in education is valued). You must commit to 12 months and hold a TEFL / CELTA certificate if you are not a licensed teacher
• are self-motivated and proactive, adaptable to new cultures, have personal and professional ambition, and are passionate about working with young children.

About the Company:

Boys and Girls Clubs of Hungary is the first European sister club of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) and a partner of the World Federation of Youth Clubs. The primary goal of the BGC English Program is to effectively teach English in a native environment. Our Program which was awarded the EUROPEAN LANGUAGE AWARD 2014, operates in 7 public educational institutions in Budapest.

Currently we serve over 700 children daily with our outstanding teachers. The BGC English Kindergarten Program runs for 3 (+1) years for children aged 3-6, whereas our BGC English School Program runs for 4+4 years for children aged 6-14.

Our goal is to facilitate the students’ language acquisition to the highest level in a stress-free environment. The activities help to develop all aspects of the children’s personalities, allowing them to gain a competitive advantage for their futures.
