I have been working with BGC since the Fall of 2019. This past year I had the absolute pleasure of being the teacher in the Owl group at Meséskert Kindergarten, and I am excited to say I will continue to be the Owl group teacher for this year as well! Also this past year, I became the Team Lead for the English teachers at Meséskert Kindergarten, and I will continue the role this year as well. As a teacher, I love to have fun with my students. I love to sing songs, learn dances, play games, and laugh! I’m so excited to see all the learning and growing the students will do this year!

Growing up in the United States, I constantly heard stories from my parents and grandparents about their lives all around the world in countries such as England, Iceland, Scotland, Greece, and Hungary. It was exciting, it was beautiful, and I wanted to have those experiences myself. These incredible tales pushed me to look for opportunities to teach abroad. I am very happy I found this opportunity to work in Budapest with BGC and to learn more about Hungarian culture. These two past years I have learned so much and seen so many beautiful things. I am very happy to be here with BGC for my 3rd year.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Education with a focus on Early Childhood Education and had a second major in Music with a focus on Voice at Salem State University. I also received my Master of Education in Early Childhood Education and received a second license in Moderate Disabilities at Salem State University. My schooling at Salem State University focused on student-centered learning that was engaging and authentic for children. What drew me to the BGC program was their focus on student-centered learning that focused on how children learn: through play. I am very excited to be teaching in a program that aligns with my philosophy of education.
