Hello, my name is Rachel Pounders, and I am from Florence, Alabama. I graduated from the University of South Alabama in 2022 with a degree in History and Hospitality & Tourism. I have always had a passion for both travel and helping others so I believed that Hospitality was my perfect career. After working for three years in the hospitality industry as both a front desk manager and in back-of-house roles, I realized that my true passion was not being fulfilled.

In 2024, I began pursuing my TEFL certification, which gave me the opportunity to teach in local elementary schools and community English classes for adults. During this time, I quickly fell in love with teaching. I love seeing the joy of learning in my students and knowing that I can make a real impact in their growth.

I am so excited to join the BGC team, where I look forward to fostering the curiosity, growth, and development of young learners while sharing in their enthusiasm every day.
